Lychee Oriental Chef Patron Jimmy Lee

Our chef proprietor Jimmy Lee is a well kent face in the UK’s cuisine scene. Jimmy was honoured with the highly coveted Chef Personality of the Year award at the prestigious Scottish Food Awards in 2018, and is no stranger to the limelight, having raised the profile of Lychee Oriental and its fresh, high quality approach to Oriental cuisine through his multiple media appearances.

Jimmy is a regular contributor on ITV’s daily show ‘This Morning’, and he co-presented the cookery show ‘Julie and Jimmy’s Hot Woks’ on the same channel. Jimmy's Tiktoks have amassed over 40 million views. He appeared as a contestant on the BBC show Great British Menu, and appeared alongside Kirstie Allsopp as a guest judge on Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas. Jimmy once again offered TV judging duties on Channel 4’s My Kitchen Rules, alongside Prue Leith and Michael Caines.

Jimmy’s approach to creating phenomenal Chinese food is all about teamwork, and he’s backed by an exceptional team at Lychee Oriental. As he said when receiving the Chef Personality of the Year award, “there is an incredible amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes every day to make the best tasting Chinese food in Scotland, and it is great that our achievements have been recognised at the highest level”.
